HOLIDAY FESTIVAL AND CRAFT FAIR
FOR THE SPRING COMMUNITY - SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE
November 10 is our annual Craft Fair. Lots of different activities are planned for this year—not the “same old, same old.” First, children and adults who are interested will be educated by the Spring Fire Department with a fire safety program. The whole community is invited to this service from our wonderful first responders. More coming on the content of this presentation.
Craft booths with artisans displaying their wares. How talented some of these folks are! If you want a unique Christmas gift for that special person, this is the place to shop.
Food, Food, Food. Food trucks will be on the premises. A light lunch will be on sale in the Parish Hall. AND homemade baked items will test your ability to resist. Pies, cakes, cookies, candy, cinnamon rolls. Most of these items can be frozen for holiday meals. Those Immanuel cooks are the greatest!
And what a raffle! Three beautiful items are being raffled: an exquisite handmade cradle, a lovely handmade quilt and a hand embroidered Nativity Set. There will also be two $100 gift certificates given away at the end of the day. Tickets are only $2.00 each or 3 for $5.00. The drawing will be on the afternoon of the Craft Fair. Hurry and get your tickets now.
For entertainment, a group of storytellers will tell of true stories from Old Town Spring and Old Town Spring Heights, recounted by Spring's Master Storytellers in two Live Performances at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. in the Immanuel Church Sanctuary:
"The Life and Death of Clint Harless"
"The Last One-Room Schoolhouse"
"Prohibition Comes to Spring"
"The Moonshine Capital of Harris County"
"Moonshine and Mayhem at the Wilson-Mallot House"
"The Bravery of a Bank Teller"
"The Heroism of Benjamin Franklin Clark"
"Fire and The Spring Fire Department"
Including select photos from the archives of the Spring Historical Museum.
This presentation is free and not to be missed!
