THIS MONTH AT IMMANUEL
MISSION FOR MAY--Our mission emphasis for May is S.O.S. or Survival Over the Summer, a program administered by Northwest Assistance Ministries that provides food for children and their families while the children are out of school for the summer. Please bring canned goods to be placed at the altar each Sunday in May. Items that are especially needed are peanut butter and jelly, canned pasta, macaroni and cheese, tuna, canned soup, canned vegetables, canned fruit and fruit juices. Thank you!
NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER - Immanuel Church will be keeping a Prayer chain on the National Day of Prayer, May 6, from 6 a.m. to 6 a.m. on May 7. You may offer prayers for any prayer concern, but pray especially for those who are ill. You can sign up in 15 minute intervals by calling the church office at 281-288-3199.
THE DAY OF PENTECOST-- Sunday May 23, at 10:45 a.m. we will celebrate this special and wonderous birth of the church.
CHRISTIAN EDUCATION SUNDAY --Sunday, May 30, at 10:45 during worship we will be focusing on our Christian Education journey at Immanuel. Be sure and plan to attend and participate in this annual event that celebrates the importance of our Christian Education programs.
SUMMER SUNDAY SCHOOL- - Summer Sunday School for our children will be during worship. They will be studying the parables of Jesus. Beginning June 6, teachers will be needed. Watch for sign-up sheet during worship. We will be asking our youth, ages 12 and up to be helpers for the adult teachers.
